About This Place

Located in the heart of Inglewood, Woody's Bar-B-Que is a beloved barbecue restaurant that has been serving up smoky, savory delights since 1975. This family-owned gem specializes in classic American barbecue with a rich menu that invites you to indulge in everything from tender baby back ribs and succulent pulled pork to hearty beef ribs laced with their signature spicy sauce. Whether you're craving the robust flavors of their 2 Meat Combo Dinner, the satisfying comfort of a Chicken Sandwich, or the mouthwatering Woodys BBQ Spare Ribs, each dish is packed with smoky goodness that speaks to generations of slow-cooking mastery.

Step inside Woody's and you’ll find a relaxed and unpretentious dining atmosphere, perfect for a casual lunch or a laid-back dinner with friends and family. The space may be modest, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for with warm hospitality and generous portions. As customer Myron Caracut notes, the staff works tirelessly to keep up with the steady flow of hungry patrons, always maintaining a courteous, friendly demeanor that makes every visit feel like a family gathering.

Menu highlights include the famed Rib Tips paired with classic Southern sides like potato salad, baked beans, and creamy macaroni & cheese, all of which complement the rich, smoky meats perfectly. The Lunch Specials, such as the Inflation Fighter offering pork rib tips and chicken link at an excellent value, make Woody's an accessible option for satisfying, hearty meals without breaking the bank. For those who love a bit of spice, the combo plates featuring chicken sausage with spicy BBQ sauce deliver a bold kick that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Woody's evocative barbecue aroma has caught the attention of locals even before they step inside—as shared by Angel Young-Simmions, one casual passerby couldn't resist the enticing scent wafting across the street, convinced this spot was destined to be "fire". And indeed, the flavors live up to the promise. The meat is richly seasoned yet balanced, delighting those who appreciate authentic barbecue without overwhelming saltiness, as Andrew S thoughtfully observed.

For fans of true barbecue aficionados, Woody's offers a taste of culinary tradition perfected through experience and passion. Stuart Stackelhouse’s glowing endorsement sums it up best: “There’s no improvement on perfection.” In fact, the temptation to keep coming back for seconds is almost irresistible at Woody's Bar-B-Que, where every bite invites you to savor a timeless, mouthwatering celebration of BBQ done right.

Honestly I haven't tried their food. I drove by and waited at the light and smelled their food. If it smells that good from across the street it's going to be good. As soon as my next day off I am going to take my girls. I know it's going to be fire. Will update then. It looks great from the outside too.

Casual, “bang for your buck” BBQ place in a very limited space. Texture ain’t the best, but still tasteful imo and very affordable for the serving size. I recommend getting the baked beans, potato salad, and peach cobbler! The staff here is consistently busy - so please be patient w/ them! The gals who took our order and called out our order were very courteous. Thank you for your hard work Will come back again for the ribs when I’m in the area :)

The quality of the brisket is good and the beans taste fine. I would like the brisket to have more seasoning, but I rather taste this than have the brisket be too salty. I got the mild sauce on it and I forgot it was supposed to be spicy so I look forward to trying a different sauce and the other meats the shop is offering. The lady taking orders is sweet and they use a PA system that most take out places should use. If you know what you would like I recommend calling in advance since there will most likely be lines and parking is limited.

Amazing food family owned since 1975. There's no improvement on perfection. It doesn't matter what you get off the menu. It's all going to hit! If you're anywhere near Woody's you have to go! Whatever you do do not get the banana pudding. I am sitting in my car eating seconds as I write this review!
